Every Friday night Jesse (& I, sometimes) listens to the Relevant podcast – if you’ve never listened to it, you have too, it’s super hilarious. Tonight they talked a little about hoarding and the different things that each of them hoard. So I got to thinking, what do I hoard? and realized… if there is anything I hoard, it is cookbooks. My husband can verify this.
Actually I just verified with him and he says I hoard spices and oils & vinegars as well! Yes.. he is spot on!
But I just can’t get enough! and I think my mom would agree with me on this one too.
I love cookbooks though, there’s always something new out there – whether it’s the latest Pioneer Woman book, or a cookbook on making candy – I love getting them, especially when I find them on sale or at discount stores!
So, Jesse and I were at the mall this evening and while we were there I went to Williams & Sonoma because it’s one of my favorite stores to shop at. While I was there I came upon this cookbook (or is it baking book, since it’s all about baking?) and I decided to buy it to help guide my way through this blog. I’m still new to this whole blogging world, and I thought that baking my way through a brand new & practical book would help teach me and guide me while blogging.
Once a week (or maybe more on some weeks) I want to pick out a new recipe to try from this cookbook and blog about it. I’ve never been a great baker and I would love to be better! I’m so excited to start baking and to keep sharing my triumphs and failures.
I bought this book:
It’s beautiful – the photography makes the food come alive, and the recipes are super practical. I can’t wait to begin!
