It’s hard to believe we’ve already said good-bye to 2016 and are in the year 2017 – time sure is flying by! 2016 was a great year for many reasons, but I’m looking forward to 2017 and all the change it’s about to bring us.
I will be 26 weeks along tomorrow and coming to the end of my second trimester of pregnancy! Hard to believe I’ll be in my third and final trimester in just a couple weeks – this baby will be here before we know it.
This pregnancy still has it’s bumps but all in all it’s been much more enjoyable this trimester than it was my first. We just announced the baby’s name a few weeks ago: Grayson David Keeler, and we’re excited to finally have something other than baby to call him. He’s an active little guy, pretty much feels like he’s doing jumping jacks and somersaults in my belly. Even though it’s a little uncomfortable sometimes, I love feeling him kick around.
I’ve been getting into the kitchen a little bit more again and it feels good to get back into my cooking routine. I’m definitely not back to where I was, cooking 3 meals a day, but the meals are getting better and healthier. And hopefully I’ll get more than 1 post up each month – at least until the baby comes.
Jesse is halfway through third year of medical school and is loving this year and all the time he gets in the hospital learning hands on information. Next year is going to be a big year for him as he will officially choose his medical specialty and interview with residency programs.
We’re continually grateful for all the support from friends and family as we go through medical school life in Southern California and as we prepare to add to our family in just a few months.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas season and have a happy new year!
