It’s been 6 weeks since I’ve posted my last post but I have a good reason for being absent: I’m pregnant!!
I had actually been in the process of writing a few different posts when the morning sickness came on strong, and unfortunately it’s still making its presence known. I am 13 weeks along this week and officially in my second trimester (although some still say I’m in my first, I like to believe I’m in my second now). I can’t believe I’m already this far along in the process, it’s flying by!

Besides all the morning sickness, it’s been an exciting journey so far. It was so special to finally get to see our little baby with an ultrasound. The baby was moving around like crazy, so no wonder mommy has been so sick! :)
Our due date is April 10, 2017 and I feel like it’s going to come so fast!
Being pregnant is way different than I ever thought. There are so many little side effects, like shortness of breath, lowered blood pressure, exhaustion, etc. The list could just go on and on – but knowing I will have a little one after this helps me push through. Obviously the morning sickness part has been the worst and each day is a different battle but I hope to be over it soon and onto the fun parts of pregnancy!
So, all this to say, I don’t know when I’ll get back into a routine of posting food blogs, hopefully sooner than later. It really depends on how I’m feeling, I haven’t really cooked a meal or put together a meal in well over a month so we will see how it goes!
