Happy May Day!! I love the first day of each new month, it feels like a new chapter, a new beginning and a new set of goals to meet. I wasn’t planning on writing anything today but then the sun came out this morning and I got a little caffeine boost and decided I couldn’t let today go by without a new post! (This is my favorite current Starbucks drink, a vanilla iced coffee!!)
Over the last month I’ve made a lot of brand new recipes, experimented a lot and posted quite a few blog posts. My biggest highlight of April was getting a Vitamix for an early birthday gift and using it in 2 posts I wrote. I make my Green Smoothie several times a week for a little extra boost of vitamins in my day. I’m looking forward to the month ahead and the posts I already have prepared for you!

Today, also marks 2 years of Kaylan’s Kitchen! WOOHOO! I can’t believe it’s already been two years since I posted my very first food blog. My first recipe was for chocolate chip cookies, however, I accidentally deleted the pictures from that blog about a month ago so it looks like I’m going to have to make those cookies again soon so I can get those pictures replaced.
A few little stats about Kaylan’s Kitchen – This is my 134th post I’ve made in two years. My most read post up to today has been the post about Jesse’s Thyroid Cancer and my most popular food blog is Caprese Skewers. The Caprese Skewers blog is also my most pinned recipe picture on Pinterest (you can follow Kaylan’s Kitchen here), which is super awesome!
