I love Jamba Juice, who doesn’t? But they’re very expensive smoothies and seem to only get more expensive every time I go. Since I got my Vitamix I’ve been recreating my favorite smoothies from Jamba Juice for a much cheaper price, and that’s what I am all about. Especially since recreating these drinks is much easier than I realized.
Recreating my favorite smoothies has also allowed me to see how unhealthy the classic smoothies are from Jamba. I just assumed that the fruit/yougurt was healthy but most of these recipes contain juice and/or sherbet. Like this recipe for instance, the Aloha Pineapple smoothie is my favorite smoothie from Jamba and contains juice and sherbet. So it’s definitely a dessert drink with a high sugar content.
Let’s Get Started:
Always start with your liquid, so add the pineapple juice to your blender.
Then add in your soft fruit, like a banana.
Next add all your frozen fruit, like the strawberries.
Last, add in the pineapple sherbet. I hadn’t ever seen pineapple sherbet sold anywhere and was prepared to make it from scratch, but ended up finding it in my local grocery store.
Blend until smooth.
Pour and enjoy! It’s delicious and the perfect dessert smoothie on a hot summer day. This makes 24 ounces and is easy to double to make for several people to enjoy.
